TRAINING UPDATE

We are thrilled to announce a significant upgrade to our training facilities—a brand new Redbird FMX full-motion Advanced Aviation Training Device AATD!

The flight simulator offers the most realistic flight simulation experience, equipped with a fully enclosed cockpit for total immersion.

Key features include:

  • Wrap-around visuals: Provides a 200-degree field of view that replicates a vast range of conditions and landscapes.

  • Motion platform: Delivers realistic feedback for maneuvers and turbulence, enhancing your sensory experience.

  • Advanced avionics: Practice with the latest technology to prepare better for what you’ll encounter in actual flights.

REDBIRD BENEFITS

1. Loggable Hours – Part 141 Training Hours in Redbird FMX

  • Private: 5 hours

    • "Credit for training in an AATD cannot exceed 15% (5.2 hours) of the required 35 hours of flight training."

  • Instrument: 14 hours

    • "Credit for training in an AATD cannot exceed 40% (14 hours)"

  • Commercial: 10 hours

    • "Credit for training in an AATD cannot exceed 20% (24 hours) of the required 120 hours of flight training."

2. Skill Development

  • Instrument proficiency: Allows students to practice instrument flight rules (IFR) procedures in a variety of weather conditions and emergencies.

  • Procedure training: Students can practice approaches, holdings, and navigational skills without the pressures of actual flight, which can be costlier and riskier.

  • Scenario-based training: Instructors can simulate specific flying conditions, system failures, and weather scenarios to teach how to respond to a range of situations.

3. Cost Efficiency

  • The Redbird FMX can reduce the cost of training by allowing students to log required hours at a lower cost compared to flying an actual aircraft.

4. Safety

  • Allows student pilots to experience dangerous flight situations in a controlled environment, enhancing their ability to handle real-life emergencies.

5. Flexibility

  • Training sessions can be repeated as often as needed to master complex concepts or maneuvers. No worries about bad weather, maintenance, or aircraft availability.
