CATHERINE WEBER
Owner & Operator
Catherine is the owner and operator of Silverhawk, a company she co-founded with her former partner in 1998. Born and raised in Cottonwood, Idaho, Catherine spent time living in several different states before ultimately settling in the Treasure Valley, which she now calls home. Despite her nearly daily presence in the office, Catherine maintains a variety of hobbies that keep her busy. She and her husband, Nick, share a lively household filled with horses, chickens, dogs, cats, and the joy of four children and five grandchildren. Deeply involved in their community and church, Catherine’s life is a vibrant blend of work, family, and service.
BRANDON SWEENEY
Chief Operating Officer
Brandon is a lawyer and entrepreneur with 15 years of experience in founding and managing companies. As an entrepreneur, he successfully co-founded and expanded his first company. Since then, he has co-founded two more ventures, RowdyBox and 78pt Productions. As a lawyer, he has assisted his clients in forming companies, raising capital, and executing mergers, sales, and other acquisitions. He holds a law degree from Vanderbilt University, a Graduate Business Certificate from Stanford Business School, and degrees in economics and finance from the University of Idaho. Brandon is thrilled to join the family business, bringing his experience to drive growth and enhance operations. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, hanging out with his wife and two kids, boxing, and playing the piano.
ALISHA SWEENEY
Director of Marketing & Sales
Alisha has been with Silverhawk since 2015, beginning as the Director of Student Services and now serving as the Director of Sales and Marketing. She holds a BS in Advertising and Business from the University of Idaho, having also attended Seattle Pacific and Arizona State. In addition to her role at Silverhawk, Alisha takes on contract work and manages a few clubs on the side. When she's not working, you'll likely find her exploring Idaho, cameras in tow, or planning her next big trip. She hopes to visit 40 countries before turning 40!
KAYLA DE RUYTER
Student Billing & DOT Manager
Kayla is Silverhawk's longest employee! She has been with the company since 2013 when she left her job as a legal assistant and her college city, San Diego. She graduated early with a degree in Psychology from Point Loma Nazarene University and studied abroad in Ireland. While we have a hard time finding an accurate job title for Kayla, we refer to her as the drug/alcohol program representative, overseer of student finances and employee verifications, charter operations, and sometimes Catherine's assistant. Kayla's claim to fame is the Treasure Valley self-proclaimed cake connoisseur. Kayla and her husband have two daughters and are also the parents of the school mascot, Beau Woof!
MAD PETERS
Accountant
Mad is the accountant for Silverhawk. She has a deep love for animals, with a special fondness for Beau, the office's fluff. Outside of work, Mad enjoys spending quality time with her husband and son. Her passion for animals and commitment to her family are a big part of who she is, both in and out of the office.
NICOLE HUNTINGTON
Director of Admissions
Nicole is the Director of Admissions. She is a California native, but has lived all over: Utah, Texas, Arkansas, Wisconsin, and Virginia. She wasn't in the military herself, however she is the only daughter of a Navy Captain. Fun fact about Nicole, Barbie bought her first car!
BEAU
Office Fluff/Mascot
Certified Office Fluff. Beau has been meandering the Silverhawk hallways begging for food and looking for the perfect nap spot for years. He typically eats one kibble at a time, runs like a bunny, and leaves tastefully-placed "accidents" when his owners are away from home for too long. Recently, Beau attended a seminar on the future of digital media and aviation operations. Be sure to give him your card to talk strategy or to taste test treats.
MOLLIE O'MARAH
Admin Assistant
Mollie is the Silverhawk Administrative Assistant. After earning a Master’s Degree in Theater Arts from Northwestern University, she taught middle school and high school drama for 12 years. She has performed roles in over 50 musicals and operas and narrated an audiobook available on Audible! Fun facts about Mollie: She hosts seated dance fitness parties for seniors at a local assisted living community to upbeat oldies! Mollie holds a Sport Pilot Certificate and is active in local aviation clubs. From age six, Mollie knew she would be a pilot. Flying is "sheer bliss to me because of the mental challenge, humbling personal responsibility required, and the breathtaking views!" She loves the energizing environment at Silverhawk and encouraging students to reach their goals.

JOSH SLOWIK
Chief Fixed Wing Instructor
Josh is the Chief Fixed Wing Instructor and a SkyWest Airlines Captain. He was raised in Redding, California, on a hobby farm alongside his parents and three sisters. Outside of flying, you can find Josh golfing, hiking, at the gym... really doing any physical activity. In 2022, Josh earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Management. He stays very busy! Fun fact, he is a citizen of the US and Switzerland.
JASON SPICKELMIRE
Lead Helicopter Instructor
Jason bounced between small town Riggins, Idaho, and big city life in Denver, Colorado. He felt well-equipped to live anywhere, so he joined the US Navy and traveled the world for 20 years. He was a Gas Turbine Systems Technician Mechanic and retired as a Senior Chief Petty Officer. After working in the Landing Craft Air Cushion community his dream of flying led him to Silverhawk. Jason enjoys the outdoors, and spending time with his wife and three kids. He is the lead instructor for TVCC and Silverhawk's Assistant Chief Helicopter Instructor.
DAYNA JOHNSON
Dayna is a helicopter CFI.
GUNNAR BRADSHAW
Gunnar spent five years in the army in the 82nd Airborne division. He was a forward observer responsible for requesting, and adjusting artillery fire. He started falling in love with aviation after jumping out of his first plane. Hunting, fishing, and spending time with family are some of Gunnar's favorite pastimes. He became a helicopter pilot because it is a challenging career where one can always continue to improve their knowledge and skills. The best part of his career is sharing the experience with others.
JON DAVISON
Jon is a helicopter CFI born and raised outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He's always enjoyed the outdoors and being active; coming out to Idaho has given him an amazing opportunity to explore new parts of the country. Jon loves helicopters and would have pursued a career earlier if he had known how attainable it was. Now, here he is as a CFI in his first role in a new career! He was in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard as an Infantryman. Sweet fact, he had an early birthday party at a helicopter museum because he thought they were so cool!
JACE PAYNTER
Jace, at 20 years old, hails from Lewiston, Idaho. Music plays an important role in his life with regular sessions alongside friends and at his church band. He loves fishing, hiking, archery, and tennis! Choosing an aviation career fulfilled Jace's lifelong dream of becoming a pilot, sparked by the inspiring story of a mentor who combined work with helicopter piloting. Flying grants Jace the privilege to explore remote destinations that most people only dream of visiting, a daily blessing he cherishes. In addition to his passion for aviation and the outdoors, Jace possesses a natural talent for frisbee golf!
KALAN JONES
Chief Helicopter Instructor
Kalan lives in Caldwell, ID with "the Mrs." and two (sometimes three) kiddos. When he's not running around with his family or at Silverhawk, Kalan flies for LifeFlight Network in Walla Walla, WA. "I started as a student [at Silverhawk] in 2015. I began instructing in 2018 and left to find my way in the aviation world in the fall of 2020. It's awesome to finally be back home!"
NICK WEBER
Nick is the advanced helicopter training flight instructor. "Being a poor kid from Chicago", he never imagined a life in aviation. He was going to be a priest (until he discovered girls), then a cop, which he became after leaving the USAFSS. Years later, after punching around with instructing, charter, commuters, and airlines, he went into the FAA (he approved Silverhawk 25 years ago!). After retiring in 2012, his focus is caring for his horses, serving and training his church security team, and his other great passion in helicopters, advanced mountain flying. Nick's goal is to help make every pilot better than he was before, in ways that will endure!
JUSTIN HALL
Justin is a helicopter CFI from Redmond, Washington. His love for the outdoors (mountain biking, rock climbing, fly fishing and backpacking) and seeing places only accessible by helicopter was his primary drive for becoming a helicopter pilot. Justin has lived in desert, tropical, mountainous and agricultural regions. The mountains are his favorite!
KINSIE TREMBLY
Kinsie was born and raised in the Boise area, where her love for flight led her to pursue a career in aerospace engineering. She earned her BS in Aerospace Engineering from Cal Poly SLO, and spent seven years in the space industry, based in LA and Colorado. While the work was stimulating, Kinsie harbored an ambition to become a pilot. Leaving behind her desk job, Kinsie began flight training in Colorado before relocating to Silverhawk Aviation with her husband, Cody. Outside of Silverhawk, Kinsie and Cody enjoy exploring the outdoors with their two dogs, Remi and Nova. Flying has always held a special place in Kinsie's heart, particularly the challenges helicopters offer. Her favorite aspect of flying is the perpetual learning curve and the unique perspectives. Kinsie is eager to see where her career journey takes her next. She also volunteers at local animal shelters, reflecting her deep love for dogs and community service.
NICK MAY
Helicopter CFI Nick is from San Diego, but has moved around a bit before landing in Boise. He worked as a wildland firefighter for years, allowing him to travel all across the Western states with a great crew. This career introduced him to helicopter operations and after a conversation with a helicopter pilot, he was sold. Nick lives near downtown Boise with Kaitlin and Kobe (girlfriend and pup). He enjoys mountain biking, camping, and snowboarding! With flight, he loves how every day offers something new. "Flying is a huge privilege and I am so grateful that I get to do it. It keeps you humble and rewards you in endless ways." Fun fact, their Christmas Eve tradition is take-out Indian food (Madhuban is his favorite).
AL RICE
Assistant Chief Fixed Wing Instructor
Born in Winnemucca, Nevada, Al earned his private pilot certificate in 1969, and graduated from the US Army Flight School in 1972. Both his father and uncle were pilots, so naturally he followed in their footsteps, and was a US Army Aviator in the military. Al has years and years of experience flying both airplanes and helicopters along with 18 years in US Department of Interior Aviation Program. He is the Assistant Chief Fixed Wing Instructor and a DPE for the FAA.
BOBBY HODGDEN
Part 135 Pilot
Bobby, born in Reno, Nevada, discovered his love for heights early on in the rural Nevada desert. His fascination with high places, whether climbing bridges or other structures, eventually led him to a unique career path as a tower climber and later into aviation. Beyond his adventurous spirit, Bobby is a dedicated family man with a loving wife and a loyal four-legged companion named Summit. When not instructing, he enjoys quality time with his wife and exploring the great outdoors with Summit by his side. Bobby's admiration for helicopter pilots and their skills inspired him to pursue flying, where he now experiences unmatched freedom and control. Fun fact, he has scuba-dived with whale sharks on more than one occasion!
SARAH AMERIGIAN
Sarah grew up on a small cattle ranch in Spring Creek, Nevada with three sisters. She enjoys hiking, camping, riding horses, and anything outdoors. One day she looked out the window, saw a helicopter, and for some reason on that particular day, she decided she wanted to become a helicopter pilot. She took a discovery flight and knew in that moment she was meant to be a pilot. Her favorite part about flying is "that just like life, flying is full of challenges. These challenges make you stronger, allowing you to reach heights you never knew you could reach. From the air, you can see a whole new perspective of the world and that makes the journey all the more worth it." Fun fact, Sarah's family had two pet wolves when she was younger.

Coy is a helicopter CFI.
PETER MCBRIDE
Peter grew up on a cattle ranch in Eastern Oregon with his three brothers, where he developed a love for rodeo. While attending Vale High School and later Treasure Valley Community College, he competed on the college rodeo team. Even now, he spends his days off back on the family ranch, helping out wherever he can. Initially unsure about his career path, Peter once considered staying on the ranch instead of going to college. But after speaking with a Silverhawk graduate who flew helicopters for his family, he took a discovery flight and never looked back. His most memorable flight was landing in his parents' front yard during a commercial cross-country—an experience that meant a lot to his family. His family has been in Eastern Oregon for over 110 years, ranching for five generations.
MATT MARTINEZ
Matt is a fixed wing CFI. He recently wrapped up a 20-year-long Air Force career and began teaching in October 2022. He worked on F-16s and F-15Es for seven years, then earned his degree and became an F-15E Weapons System Officer (WSO) for 20 years. "It’s been a blast being able to travel to the world and fly around in one of the most advanced fighter jets in the U.S. inventory".
Aviation has been a lifelong passion for Matt. "Being able to hop in a plane and go wherever you want is a felling that’s hard to match."
Matt is married with three dogs who all look forward to staying in one place for longer than a couple of years!
NOLAN M. HASH
Nolan grew up in Auburn, Washington, and moved to Boise in May of 2022 to continue his aviation journey. His dad, a fellow pilot, introduced him to aviation at a young age and became his CFI for his Private Pilot License.
"A career in aviation is so rewarding and it's an incredible opportunity to meet some really cool people. I wanted to become a CFI to help other people accomplish their goals."
Some of Nolan's hobbies include hunting, fishing, and golf.
HAYDEN LEAVITT
Hayden took his first discovery flight with Silverhawk when he was eight years old! He began training in high school with the goal of becoming a CFI by 20; he met this goal with a few days to spare! Outside of aviation, he loves to golf, rock climb, camp, and when the weather allows, he's up at Bogus "shredding that pow pow!" He pursued aviation because of the various opportunities it can open up. "Traveling the world flying a jet sounds like the coolest job in the world to me" and the views are unbeatable.
SAMUEL MENJIVAR
Samuel is a fixed wing CFI from El Salvador, a little country in Central America. He and his wife moved to the US seven years ago, making their way to Idaho to enjoy the lakes and rivers, although the cold weather was difficult to adjust to after living in a tropical climate for 23 years. When Sam was a kid, he and his brother would go to the airport, pay to have access to the rooftop, and watch commercial airplanes take off and land. He loves to see everything from the sky – it makes him feel free and proud to be able to control one of those beautiful machines (airplanes). Fun fact, he hates bugs!
ALEXEI CORK
Alexei is a fixed wing CFI from Boise. The excitement of traveling the world and the awesome office views are what led him to aviation. Outside of flying, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, biking, hiking, kayaking, and growing Bonsai Trees.
CARSON ACKERLAND
Carson grew up in Star, Idaho, where he developed a deep love for the state's natural beauty, from the Blue Mountains to its cold rivers. He was active in high school wrestling and spent much of his childhood outdoors, exploring the mountains and rivers of Idaho. From a young age, Carson enjoyed working on cars and started racing short-track asphalt cars at 18. His knack for understanding machines quickly translated into a passion for flying. Landing became his favorite part of flying due to its precision and control. In addition to his flying pursuits, Carson is a certified welder!
JAKE LEONI
Jake, born in Burley, Idaho, has always had a deep-rooted love for camping, fishing, and hunting across Boise and Kuna; he loves to share the outdoors with his 2-year-old son, Miller, and wife. Married for 12 years, Jake has explored various career paths in search of his true passion, which he found in aviation. For Jake, flying is not just a job but a lifelong pursuit that aligns with his interests and ambitions. Embracing this newfound focus, he combines his love for the outdoors with the precision and skill of aviation. Jake is eager to contribute to the aviation industry while nurturing his family's love for adventure. Ever since childhood, Jake dreamed of flying, and now, having realized that dream, he finds immense joy in the sense of freedom and adventure that flying brings. Fun fact: Jake's favorite movie is "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty."
CAMERON MARTYN
Cameron, originally from LA but raised in Meridian, ID, has a passion for adventure and aviation ignited by his father. Beginning as a line service technician, Cameron diligently worked towards his pilot ratings, gaining extensive experience in a range of aircraft, including the PC-12, Kodiak 100, and Citation Mustang.
When he isn't flying, Cameron will likely be skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, or in the great outdoors. He loves the sense of freedom flying affords and witnessing passengers experience flight for the first time. Fun fact, Cameron has dual UK citizenship and is a nationally certified Level 2 Snowboard Instructor with PSIA-AASI!
DAYTONA ARNZEN
Daytona, named after the Daytona 500, is a fixed wing CFI from Lewiston, Idaho. She began racing when she was six years old and still races today. She loves motorsports, skiing, hockey, flying, and anything outdoors! She believes the best parts about flying are how different each day can be... and the people you meet in the community.

DELLA ROSENCRANZ
Della is a fixed wing CFI from Enumclaw, Washington. Aviation is her biggest passion and has always been a big part of Della's life! She eventually caught the "aviation bug" and knew there was nothing else she could imagine myself doing. Her goal is to be an airline pilot, but she also has a love for antique aircraft and the characters that fly them! She hope to fly little airplanes for the rest of her life. Her favorite part about flying is embracing the freedom of being one with the aircraft and leaving all life's problems on the ground. Fun facts, Della is a third generation pilot and she loves the culturally experience traveling abroad provides!
JAKE WEST
Jake was born in California and moved to Idaho in 2019. After graduating Boise State University, he began his aviation journey; driven by a passion for travel and a desire to explore the world from 30,000 feet above. After completing flight school in under two years, Jake started instructing, fulfilling his dream of sharing his love for flying with others. He credits Silverhawk Aviation Academy for setting him on this path toward his career goals. Beyond aviation, Jake enjoys sports like MMA, golf, and basketball, with a special allegiance to the Sacramento Kings. He also trains in Muay Thai, loves cats, and traveling the world!
LUKE PEOPLES
Outside of aviation, Luke loves playing music and soccer. He graduated with his bachelor's in biology, but now his life is oriented around flying airplanes. Luke caught the aviation bug after flying with his father-in-law and he has not been able to quit since. He loves everything about flying from the views to the feeling of accomplishment after finishing a rating. Luke's fun fact, he has never been outside of the country.
JESSE ROGERS
Jesse is a Silverhawk and TVCC flight instructor in Ontario, Oregon. He was born in Arizona but grew up in Idaho. Jesse is an avid snowboarder, hiker (especially if hot springs are involved), whitewater kayaker, and an amateur cook (he makes a mean ramen from scratch)! Jesse spent four years as an engine and fuel system mechanic for EA-18s in the Navy. He believes flying is the ultimate form of freedom, adventure, and innovation. After spending so much time working on aircraft in the Navy, he feels flying was the perfect fit for him. Also, he likes the interesting people you meet along the way.
GREG BROWN
Greg is a CFI in Ontario, Oregon.
TYLER SCHLADOR
Tyler is a fixed wing instructor with a passion for traveling, backpacking, and exploring the world. Some of his hobbies include snowboarding, soccer, and dirt biking. Growing up around helicopters caused him to dream of seeing the world from a new perspective. His goals are to bring joy to others through flight and to travel as much as possible!
CLARK BRENISHOLTZ
Clark is an airplane CFI who loves the serenity of viewing the world at altitude. He is a dog owner, an avid reader, a motorcycle rider, a photographer, a storyteller, and a breakfast connoisseur (he promised himself guitar lessons once he became a working pilot). He has loved airplanes since he first learned what they were. Life just gave him other tasks to complete before beginning aviation. Fun fact, he was born in the year of the dog, and he couldn’t be happier about that.
CODY MELCHIOR
Cody was born and raised in the Bay Area. After receiving his BS in Wildlife Biology from the University of Montana, Cody moved to Wyoming to work as a field biologist. He spent many hours in a small aircraft conducting surveys which led him to wonder what life as a pilot would be like. He loved the endless opportunities in aviation and how it connects our great big world. After his time as a fixed wing CFI, he would like to pursue a career in conservation as a wildlife pilot. Fun fact, Cody spent his summers in college as a professional "snorkeler" for Idaho Fish and Game.
HAYDEN RITTER
Hayden was born and raised in Boise. He graduated from the University of Idaho with a degree in Business Operations Management, while competing as a member of the Vandal’s Men's Golf Team. His favorite hobbies include golf, skiing, mountain biking, and going to the gym. Hayden has traveled by air frequently, which led to a curiosity of becoming an airline pilot. He believes the best parts about flying are the maneuvers learned while training and all of the people he gets to meet along the way. His grandpa was designated “Top Gun” in U.S Air Force Fighter Weapons School. He flew over 400 combat missions and shot down a MiG 21 over North Vietnam!
MICHAEL WILSON
Michael was born in Bloomfield, Iowa, and raised in Grangeville, ID. He took part in many athletics, particularly basketball and football. He accepted a football scholarship from Carroll College in Helena, MT, where he studied Biology and Business. Michael met his future wife his freshman year, and they moved to her hometown, San Diego, following graduation. During breaks from his biotechnology desk job, he would walk outside and watch the F-18s take off from Miramar Air Station. Eventually, he started researching what he could do to take to the skies. He and his wife, Tess, decided it was time to explore new career paths. This brought them back to Helena as she started studying to be a nurse, and he began flight training at a local school. Tess accepted a job in the Treasure Valley, fulfilling Michael's goal of returning to his beloved Idaho. The duo has two golden retrievers and enjoy being in the elements, both on land and in the sky. His favorite aspect of flying is soaring over the forests and high mountain lakes in the PNW. Fun fact: Michael's parents were flight attendants for United Airlines, and he was given the title of 2A Idaho Basketball Player of the Year his senior year of high school.
DILLON BERGESON
Dillon is a Silverhawk and TVCC flight instructor in Ontario, Oregon. He was born in Folsom, California, but grew up in Blackfoot, Idaho. During his highschool years, Dillon moved to Colorado, then back to Idaho where he began his aviation journey. When he's not flying you will find him snowboarding, mountain biking, or dirt biking. Dillon chose a career in aviation because he found interest in airplanes and a "hands-on" career. His favorite part about flying is getting a different perspective of the world!

NOLAN MCQUEEN
Helicopter Maintenance Manager
Nolan is an A&P on the maintenance team. He grew up in Kalispell, Montana, alongside five sisters and one brother. At 18 years old, he realized he wanted to be a mechanic while fixing his 1994 F-150. After completing the Aviation Maintenance Technician program at MATC, Nolan earned his A&P license. During this time, he met and married his wife Michaela and, after a few years in Wisconsin, they moved to Middleton, Idaho. Nolan hopes to test for his Inspection Authorization which will allow him to perform annual inspections. During his free time, he backpacks, kayaks, and works on my small farm.
SARAH SINAPOLI
Sarah, the Silverhawk Procurement Manager, hails from Des Moines, Iowa. She's a dedicated mother of two energetic boys. When not keeping up with her little ones, Sarah enjoys capturing moments in the foothills with her camera. An animal lover, particularly fond of dogs, she aims to inspire others and make her children proud. Fun fact: Sarah is a Certified Advanced Open Water Scuba Diver!
LEE PRICE
Born in Chicago and raised in Wayne, IL, Lee embarked on a journey that combined a stint in the military with a passion for aviation. After serving as a vehicle recovery operator in the Marine Corps, Lee sought a career that offered daily excitement and found solace in the skies. Flying became not just a profession but a passion, providing the intense focus that clears the mind of distractions. A devoted fan of hockey, Lee proudly supports the Chicago Blackhawks, reflecting a deep-rooted connection to hometown pride and sportsmanship. Currently residing in the western United States, Lee continues to embrace the thrill of a career where each day brings new challenges and adventures.

PATRICK DRUM
Fixed Wing Maintenance Manager
Patrick was in the Air Guard as a Crew Chief on the F-15 Eagle for six years. For the past 14 years, he worked as a machinist setting up CNC mill machines and building things out of blocks of aluminum, steel, and plastic. Patrick has made parts for aerospace, semiconductors, and gun parts. His interest in the aviation world led him to work as an apprentice for Silverhawk. "The best part of tearing apart and putting an aircraft back together is seeing it fly again!"
BRETT SIMMONS
Brett is an A&P mechanic born with a passion for noise and adventure, found early interests in travel, motorsports, and boating. His curiosity for aircraft mechanics led him to a fulfilling career as a helicopter mechanic in the military, where he worked on Huey, AH-64 Apache, and Lakota helicopters. This role not only honed his technical skills but also provided him with a unique aerial perspective on the world, which he continues to cherish today.
RYAN MARLATT
Ryan grew up in Idaho and has come to love his home state. Outside of Silverhawk, Ryan can be found in the outdoors hunting, fishing, dirt bike riding, getting his hands dirty, and spending quality time with friends and family (the true key to his heart). JT HAYES
JT is an A&P mechanic in Ontario, Oregon. He is a father of two boys, a husband, and a private pilot (currently working on his instrument rating). He stated, "Working on aircraft is much different from other mechanically inclined jobs because there is a reference for every single task that you complete." His favorite part about flying is letting friends and family try out the controls. There is a bit of fear at first and then excitement. Fun fact, JT is a Master Scuba Diver Trainer and he loves ice diving!

STEVE CARROLL
Steve Carroll, not to be confused with Steve Carell, is from Big Bear Lake, CA, and has been married for 15 years, with three wonderful kids. His wife is an elementary school teacher, and together they enjoy spending time with their children. An '80s kid who grew up watching Airwolf, Steve developed a passion for helicopters that led him to a 20-year career in the Air Force, where he served as a Crew Chief for helicopters specializing in Search and Rescue missions.
Beyond his military career, Steve enjoys gaming and cars, always eager to explore new adventures with his family. He’s also an aspiring bass guitarist, still honing his skills after two decades.
